Keryas

KaryasinMurcia4DSC_0175DSC_0050DSC_0174DSC_0111DSC_0074DSC_0089

Keryas was found by a spanish volunteer – he was near death abandoned on a dump site & tied by blue string to a concrete block. This dog was abandoned to die – tied to the rock – it was obviously sick and had puncture wounds from dog bites. He was so weak he could barely lift his head.

She brought him straight to the vet but as she has 28 dogs she is trying to rehome she could not afford to help him – so she contacted Terrier SOS. We are in a fortunate position and have wonderful supporters and we have the ability to cover the costs for this very unfortunate boy. At the vet’s he had several blood transfusions, he was very sick and the vet was not sure if he would make it.. But in true terrier style he pulled through – but he was ill – he had Heartworm (has been treated), Erlichia (A parasite spread by ticks) also treated. He also has a verruca on his lip and that will be removed when he is neutered.

He took a long time to get healthy – he was on special food and will need to be monitored – as he was severely anaemic. He should be ok to travel in the next few weeks – he is still in Spain with his foster.

He is young, dog friendly and very timid. Understandingly he is a bit afraid of people and the big outdoors – he is gaining in strength and confidence and will become a wonderful companion – he will need a patient and quiet home to get adjusted to his new life.

Hhe will be neutered, fully vaccinated & microchipped.

Pulguita

Here is one we squeezed in earlier….we have a wonderful foster in Spain and she takes quite a few dogs for us – but only for us – and it is known that she helps dogs…so…..rather than ask or find a loving home, someone has thrown this little dog over the wall. Yes, barely 3 months old and they threw her over a 6 foot wall – not surprisingly she was hurt and in a panic ran under the parked car. She had a lot of interest from our Terrier SOS dogs – and they alerted out foster. It took the good part of a day to get her from under the car – she was frozen in fear. She was limping and had a few scrapes and bruises – but thankfully no breaks or injuries – she has made a full recovery and is slowly finding her paws. She is called Pulguita and is about 3 months old – she has now become a Terrier SOS dog. She had been reserved for a family and has now arrived in the UK.

Unfortunately, due to sad & unforeseen circumstances, the family can not take Pulguita renamed Ivy.

She is now 12-18 months, fully vaccinated & microchipped, not yet neutered. She is friendly and loving and we urgently looking for a foster or adoptive family for her. Can you help?10869375_954314907941857_5379874744819880958_o 10914856_954314921275189_4174256217455273860_o

Bex

Bex is under a year old, found as a stray – she is in pretty bad condition – and will be going into foster. We have very little information on her and will keep the site updated on her. We were able to take her on at short notice due to the amazing Waffle’s fundraising campaign & everyone’s generosity. We asked Waffle’s family to find a name for her and they chose Bex (short for Beckham) which we think is appropriate – we feel she will have the same Borlee hunting skill of our dear Waffle.

We are now looking for a UK home – foster or adoption – for Bex .

Will be vaccinated, neutered & chipped.  Year of birth: 2013

coat: white & tan

Children: age 10 +

sorry no small furries

This little boy is Niko – he is a terrier cross from the perrera in Cartagena – we were contacted and asked to help – it was Friday and he was due to be put to sleep on Monday. They could not take photos – we were just told his time was up – he was being attacked by the other dogs in the kennel and he needed out.

Well, we decided to squeeze him in and he has now gone into foster – we are delighted, more information to follow as we get to know him.

We are now looking for a UK home – foster or adoption – for him.

Niko will be vaccinated, neutered & chipped.

Children: age 10 +

Coat: white, black & tan
