Romeo and Juliet

Well what a love story for these two dogs, who were a few days away from being put to sleep. We pulled them with the aid of a wonderful person that runs a rescue in Spain – El Amparo on Valentine’s Day! Hence they were named Romeo and Juliet.

Now adopted and living a wonderful life in Norfolk with a sofa, toys and love, we will let the photographs speak for themselves.

Update 26th February 2013:

Clyde is on his one month trial – and we wish him and his new family a wonderful life. We will update the website on his progress.

This is the lovely Clyde – he is another Wire Fox Terrier that was abandoned in Spain. His owner could no longer care for him or his other dogs and Clyde ended up in kennels with his sister Bonnie.

ClydeBonnie has been adopted – but Clyde has been left and overlooked. We decided to step in as he has been in kennels long enough and we are concerned as he was a pet – he has had some stress in kennels. He will be arriving in the UK at the beginning of January.

Clyde is lovely – he is young – approx 18 months old – he is dog and people friendly – a little naughty – as all terriers should be!

ClydeHe will be neutered, fully vaccs, micro chipped and have a passport.

He will go into foster in the UK and will be assessed further but if you are interested please contact us.

Sara

Update 26th February 2013:

Sara is in the UK! She arrived late January and she is doing wonderfully. She is the sweetest thing – a real confection. Sara is approx 2 years old and very energetic – she loves to play with you or other dogs and is a typical naughty terrier. She loves to dig, destroy anything left on the floor (post, socks, the occasional slipper) – a real delight.

She needs a home that will give her all the love and attention she has missed – she has a high prey drive – so no small furries. She could live with another dog – but it would have to be playful and well matched. This is a real gem of a dog – and she will need a real gem of a family. Priority will be given to families in the South east – she is currently being fostered in London.

This is the lovely Sara – a female Wire Fox Terrier in Spain. Sara was found as a stray in southern Spain – she luckily was picked up by a spanish rescue and has been kept safe – but the rescue has over 100 dogs and Sara has not had much serious interest.

She is a gem, good with other dogs, she is only small weighing about 6 kilos. So very compact and bijoux for a fox terrier.

She is currently in Spain and we have asked for better photos – so will update shortly.

She will be speyed, fully vaccs, microchipped and have her passport.

She will be in the UK towards the end of January – if you are interested in rehoming this little poppet please contact us for more information.

Vito

Update 4th March 2013:

Our beloved Vito passed away from Heart Failure. He was abandoned before Christmas at a French Pound. He was old, partially blind and suffering from Heart Problems.

It was an open kennel – and he was outdoors – cold and confused. He was days away from being put to sleep – we could not allow that to happen – his picture touched our hearts and we felt we would try and give him a proper retirement.

With the help of Asso. Orfee (a french rescue) we pulled him, they arranged a foster for him while his paperwork was being arranged.

Here is his photo from the pound:

The foster had cats – and we discovered that Vito loved cats. He was a sweet, gentle soul – he had no animosity towards anyone and he was happy to be warm and loved.

We arranged for him to come to the UK – he was in foster care here. He was the sweetest and easiest foster ever. He loved his food, loved his cuddles and was completely relaxed snoozing on the couch watching TV.

We fell in love with him the moment we saw him – and words cannot describe the sadness we feel at his passing. There was a family that was hoping to adopt him – he was a loved dog. He was surrounded by people that cared for him, and he passed away in the arms of people that loved him.

Fate smiled on us, for a brief period, Vito’s love was ours – a love we are so privileged to have known.

This artwork was created for Vito:

Vito was abandoned in a french pound just before Christmas – he is old, mostly blind and has a heart arrhythmia. Yes, it is Christmas and sadly the old are thrown out to make room for the new puppy.

Vito’s only crime was being old – he is a sweet, calm dog that deserves a loving retirement home. He loves people and all he wants is cuddles, and to be near you.

He will make the right family a lovely companion. We are looking for a calm home, no children or young boisterous dogs – can you love a boy like him?

He would really blossom in a home that had lots of love and patience to help him regain his confidence. He is currently living with cats and is perfectly happy with them – we will be assessing him shortly for dogs. Vito is currently in foster in France and will arrive in the UK in January.

If you are interested in homing Vito and want more information – please do not hesitate to contact us.
