Pepe Spark – Wire Fox Terrier – Rehomed

This lovely boy was abandoned in an open field, and he was living by the bins, scavenging what he could.  A call went out for help – and luckily Terrier SOS had volunteers in the area and he was taken to safety in a loving foster home.   He was in a terrible state – and we feel he had been living rough for some time.  But we know he was a pet at some stage, as he took to living in the home quite easily!

We are told he is 7/8 years old – but that is an estimate – he acts more like he is 3/4 – He is a typical fox terrier – full of life and mischief.  He is fine with other dogs with proper introductions.  He lived in foster in Spain with several dogs and did well.

He is currently being fostered in Suffolk

Pepe is neutered, fully vaccinated, has a passport, and blood tested.

If you would like to over him a Forever Sofa, please go to our Homing Page and download a Rehoming form

Gustavo Becquer – Terrier Cross – Rehomed

Let us introduce you to our intellectual…Gustavo Becquer.  This boy is a real stunner – he is perfectly fine with all other dogs – and spends his days in the open space of the kennels – he even is allowed with the picky dogs as he is such a calm soul they just accept him.  He is a big hairy boy that is looking for his forever sofa.

Gustavo was found abandoned in a house, his owner packed up and left him behind to starve to death.  He was found after about 3 weeks, and brought to the perrera.  As is the story for many of our dogs, time ran out for him – and we knew we had to give him a second chance.

Gustavo is a bigger boy (about 15 kilos) – he is such a sweetie.  He is fine with other dogs – but we would not recommend living with small furries.  He is about 5 years old – and he is ready to be adopted!

He is currently in Spain

He is fully vaccinated, neutered, blood tested and has his passport.  If you would like to adopt this handsome honey then please go to our Rehoming page and download an application

Cassie – Fox Terrier Cross – Rehomed

This is the delightful Cassie – approx 10 years old.  She has been with us too long – she is one of our long termers, and we can’t understand why!

She likes people and is constantly wagging her tail and wants to meet and greet. Cassie does not want to live with another dog, but she is fine walking past them/ being around them provided they give her space.  She would suit a calm – semi-rural environment.  She likes her walks, but is justas happy cuddly on the sofa with you.

She is such a delight and the volunteers adore her and she always puts a smile on their face – she is a treasure and her forever family will get a gem.

She is very hunting-driven – so would need a secure garden and exit management. She could not live with small furries or hens. We feel she would blossom quickly in the right home. She is ready for love, in the right terrier experienced home we think she will be a fantastic companion. And whatever you give her – she will reward you a million times over. Every dog deserves a chance, and none more so than Cassie.

She is in Norfolk and ready for her forever home. Vaccinated, neutered, passported. No cats and small furries. Children: 10+

Saint Jude – Terrier Cross – Rehomed

This is Saint Jude – this is the most adorable little terrier cross boy.  St. Jude is the Patron Saint of Hope and impossible causes and that seems perfect for Terrier SOS!  Another dog that was abandoned and sent to the perrera.  No interest,no hope.  We are always busy but squeezed him in.  We are great believers in HOPE.

He is about 1 year old – dog and people friendly.  We are unsure about cats – but at this stage – we would recommend a home with no small furries.  He is a young dog, and is looking for a energetic family that has the time and energy to help him become a pet.

He is currently being fostered  in London – they say he is a delight.  He is learning life in a home – and has mastered stairs!  He is a quick learner and is settling well.  He is dog friendly – but he loves to play – but he is a youngster – so will pester any resident dog.

He is neutered, fully vaccinated and with passport.

This is the incredible Mr Foxy – approx 5 years old – originally from France.  He had been used for hunting but obviously had a very difficult start to his life as he was petrified of people.  When he arrived – his first reaction out of his crate was to urinate over our shoes.  The volunteers at the kennels worked hard on gaining his trust – and he has since gone into foster.

The foster says that at first Foxy takes time to figure you out – he has been hurt by people and he has had to keep himself safe – so he keeps his distance until he knows you wont hurt him.  He follows his foster around the house, he jumps on the bed in the morning for Wake Up kisses, he loves the sofa and the TV – and is fond of any programme with a dog in it.  He started to travel in a crate in the car – but now is happy with his seatbelt and watched the world go by from the window.  He loves going for strolls and meeting his dog pals.  All he wants to do is play.

He is a flight risk – so any new home must have a secure garden and be prepared to be hyper vigilant at exit management until he trusts you.

He is quite reliable now with his housetraining.  The foster is amazed how fast Foxy has come along, and how he really wants a family of his own.  He wants to love people, but they have let him down so bad in the past – so he errs on the side of caution.  We can’t fault him for that – he is a bright boy that will make a fantastic companion for the right family.

Foxy is still very worried about new people and places.  So any prospective family will need to listen to us, and slowly build Foxy’s confidence at his pace.  When Foxy is allowed the time and space to process new things – he adapts and is fine.  But this is not something you can rush – so the new family must have the time and patience to help him find his paws.  He would be better with another dog to help show him the ropes – he could go on his own – but you would need to continue his dog meets / socialisation.  Also Foxy is in the SE (London) and you should be prepared to travel to meet him a couple of times at least so he can become accustomed to you.

Foxy is one of our long termers – many people overlook the dogs that need some support – as many people really want an ‘easy’ dog.  This generally means that the true treasures are overlooked.  Foxy was a cute puppy once, he was a dog with potential.  But he got beaten, he got betrayed, he got abandoned.  This has left him feeling that humans can’t be trusted – until proven otherwise.  What makes him amazing – is that he has forgiven humans for their cruelty.  He wants to love and have a family of his own.  Are you a person that could earn that trust?  Are you worthy of that love?

Foxy is neutered, fully vaccinated, and with a passport.
